Trenton Health Center Announces Expansion Of Pediatric Dental Services

Funding from the Affordable Care Act has led to an expansion of pediatric dentistry services at a health center in Trenton.

The Henry J. Austin Center in Warren Street will be able to provide dental services which are already a success at their Ewing Street center.

Dental director at the center Dr. Devin Goodman said the Ewing Street pediatric dental program, which began in February 2013, has been very successful and he anticipates the same success for patients who receive services at the Warren Street center.

The ACA provides funding which allows dentists to provide treatment for patients who have no dental insurance.

While initiatives such as free dental events and the provision of free dental equipment packs are indispensable, clinics that provide low cost or free dental treatment on an everyday basis are essential to improve the overall oral health of everyone, especially the oral health of children.

Many people avoid seeking dental treatment because they have a fear of the dentist. However, many more people avoid the dentist simply because they cannot afford treatment.
