Healthy Smiles, Lower Costs

Stephanie Holoway wants to help people smile with low cost dental work.

The dental hygienist has opened her own Healthy Smiles Quinte clinic where she sees patients of all ages and budgets.

“One of the main reasons for starting the business was to help people maintain their health by offering low cost dental care.”

Provincial benefit programs, such as those for people who have disabilities, may not cover the full cost of dental hygiene.

“Even if you do have dental insurance it is still beneficial to you if you don’t have full coverage.”

Patients should still try to see a dentist regularly, because the dentist’s treatment cannot be replaced by dental hygiene appointments.

“A lot of them do still have to have fillings and extractions but this way they can try to maintain the teeth that they still have, rather than losing them to periodontal disease.”
