The Iowa Missions Of Mercy event in Waterloo, Iowa, is expected to bring crowds of patients to the Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center.
Dental experts at the event, which takes place on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th September, will treat as many patients as possible.
The free dental clinic will operate on a first come first served basis. It will begin treatments at 6:00 a.m., and will close once they have reached that day’s capacity.
Although Missions of Mercy free dental days provide a variety of dental services, this event should offer cleanings, extractions, fillings, and a limited number of root canal procedures.
However, it will be unable to provide crowns, dentures, or bridges.
There are also restrictions regarding health conditions.
Certain medical conditions may preclude patients from receiving treatment at Iowa MOM. If you have diabetes, your blood sugar must test below 250 at the clinic to receive treatment. If you have high blood pressure, it must test under 190/105 to receive treatment.
Helpful facilities, such as wheelchairs, interpreters, and childcare are available, to cater for dental patients who have difficulty walking, have children with them, or who don’t speak English.
